Indigenous Transport

Manning Valley Indigenous Transport

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities across Australia have, and often still do, experience varied levels of transport disadvantage.  Many Aboriginal people now face numerous barriers to accessing transport including a limited availability of services, culturally unacceptable services, and affordability issues. For the standards of Indigenous Transport to lift within the local area, Manning Valley Community Transport are involved in several initiatives.

We have a dedicated Aboriginal Transport Development Officer and support Worker in our team, who work with the local communities in the various areas to ensure transport options are culturally appropriate and safe.
